A community foundation has a long-term goal of securing resources to address the changing needs of the community it serves.

Having flexible and permanent funds provides a community with the capability to address evolving and unanticipated future needs and opportunities.

Potential Outcomes

  1. The foundation is positioned to be a problem solver, taking initiative and addressing emerging issues.
  2. Donors will be attracted to the foundation by the exercise of its community problem-solving ability.
  3. Increased incidence of the establishment of flexible funds.
